A New Year’s Day Journey of Gratitude: 26 Miles to Start 2026

To celebrate the arrival of 2026, Paul, the Founder of BiKoPia and two friends headed to the Parklands in Louisville for a 26-mile New Year’s Day ride. Every mile marker on this journey served as a dedicated moment of reflection, pairing the physical effort of the ride with 26 things a cyclist can be grateful for this year. By documenting 15-second clips from each mile, this project captures the transition from the Mile 0 to the deep sense of purpose found at the finish line. This ride wasn’t just about hitting a distance goal; it was a deliberate effort to use gratitude as the ultimate fuel for the 365 days ahead. We hope this journey encourages you to find your own fresh perspective and start your year with a thankful heart.
